LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

Describe the evidence supporting short-term and long-term treatment of patients with psychotic, bipolar, major depressive, and anxiety disorders


Evaluate treatment practices involving psychotropic drugs and develop strategies to improve clinical practice


Assess potentially severe adverse effects of psychotropic drug treatment, and improve skills in limiting risk and avoiding adverse events


Analyze the current relationship between treatment with psychotropic drugs and risk of mortality due to suicide and other causes of increased mortal risks in psychiatric patients


Issues underlying the diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder


Advances in diagnosing and treating disorders of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and PTSD-related conditions


INTRODUCING YOUR PRESENTER, DR. JEFF BRYSON

Licensed Psychologist

Clinical Health Psychologist

Dr. Bryson is a Clinical Health Psychologist, with a B.A. in Psychology from Covenant College, M.S. in Applied Psychology from Jacksonville State University, M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with Certificates of Concentration in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. He completed his Clinical Internship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC where he also served as Chief Medical Psychology Intern. He is a credentialed member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.


His clinical training and experience includes work with all age groups and a variety of specialty areas including health psychology, neuropsychology, sleep disorders, pain and palliative care, biofeedback, somatoform disorders, developmental disorders, rare and complex pathology cases, and tic disorders.


He is widely published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters on the topics of sleep, dreams, sleep disorders, and tic disorders. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bryson holds an adjunct faculty position at Fielding Graduate University where he teaches a course on Biological Bases for Behavior. He has also held an adjunct faculty position at Jacksonville State University where he taught courses on Sleep and Dreaming, Human Development, and Statistics. Dr. Bryson also provides lectures on the assessment and treatment of sleep disorders. He is involved in research activities to better understand ways to improve existing assessment and therapeutic interventions for a variety of disorders. His major focus has been in the areas of sleep and sleep disorders.


REFUND/CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT POLICY


Refunds: If a refund is requested by the participant, a partial refund, minus a $25.00 adminstrative fee will be given within two weeks of the event. All cancellations must be in writing, thus emailed to leslie@daretodreamlife.com is preferred. No refunds will be issued if received less than 2 weeks of the event.  Please note if a participant fails to contact us as well as fails to appear for the seminar, no refunds will be issued, nor will attendance of another seminar be allowed. 


Cancellations:  If Leslie Phillips Seminars┬« cancels a seminar, a full refund will be given. Leslie Phillips Seminars┬« reserves the right to cancel any seminar due to low enrollment. 


Postponements:  At times, postponing a seminar may be unavoidable (such as illness of a presenter, family tragedy, etc). If a seminar is postponed, all registered will have the option to attend the seminar on the newly scheduled date, or have their registration transferred to another seminar of their choice within the next 6 months. No refunds will be given. If a seminar is not attended within that 6 month period, attendance of another seminar is forfeited.
