PRESENTER: GERALD " JERRY" K. WILHOITE, LPC-S, C.S.  

Gerald "Jerry" Wilhoite, LPC-S, C.S has been in the mental health field for over 30 years.  He retired from the Mental Health Center of North Alabama after 26 and 1/2  years of service.  During his tenure he served in many roles, including Program Coordinator, Court Liaison/Crisis Stabilization Unit Liaison,  ACT Team Leader,  Program Director of Residential Programs and  Adult Day Programs, Court Liason,  Director of the Decatur-Morgan Counseling Center, and Day Treatment Coordinator and Outpatient Therapist. Jerry is currently the owner/operator of  North Alabama Court Consultants, LLC.  He provides assessments for the Probate Courts of Morgan, Limestone, and Lawrence Counties. He also provides Community Mental Health Officer services for the Law Enforcement agencies of Morgan and Limestone Counties 24/7/365. Jerry provides expert testimony in Probate Commitment cases, and acts as the Court Representative in Guardian and Conservatorship cases.  Jerry currently trains law enforcement officers regarding mental health clients in the community they may encounter, as well as serving as the "Jail School" Adjunct Instructor.
