TELL YOUR SENATORS: Vote NO on the harmful health bill!

New draft, same story: Senate leaders have repackaged their plan to force millions of people off health coverage, weaken the Medicaid safety net and deliver a giant tax cut to the wealthiest Americans. Opposition to the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) is deep and wide. Outraged voters have kept their senators' phones ringing off the hook. Health care professional associations from every sector have issued public statements denouncing the bill. No governor has spoken in favor of it. Yet Senate leaders are rushing the bill forward without a single public hearing.
Even our own senators have signaled concerns about how the bill would affect a high-poverty state like Alabama. But they haven't signaled they might vote against it. We have to let them know we're watching to see if they will stand up for Alabama's most vulnerable citizens.
The next few days are the most critical so far! Please call both of your U.S. senators TODAY AND NEXT WEEK and tell them: "The Senate health bill is still bad for Alabama. It hurts children, seniors, and people with disabilities. It hurts our General Fund. Please stand up for Alabamians and VOTE NO!"
